Chandoli Wildlife Sanctuary
Located at the western end of Shirala Taluka in Sangli district, the Chandoli Wildlife Sanctuary is part of the Chandoli Dam project on the Warna River. The Warna Dam has a capacity of 34.20 TMC and is also known as Vasant Sagar Reservoir.
The dam, which has a length of 1580 meters, provides irrigation benefits to the lands of Sangli and Kolhapur districts. The surrounding area has become a popular tourist destination. The sanctuary itself is located within the catchment area of the dam and serves as a natural habitat for wildlife. It is situated at the border of Sangli, Kolhapur, and Ratnagiri districts.
