Vision & Target
The primary objective is to increase indirect irrigation of agricultural land, especially in rural areas of Sangli district, and to improve the groundwater table. This will help in the financial growth of farmers due to enhanced irrigation and increased groundwater levels. The civil works are physically and financially completed using available District Planning Commission (D.P.C.) funds and government funds within two financial years. Existing perennial water bodies, such as percolation tanks, have been allocated for fish breeding.
